Bio-plasma deep-tech company Plasmapp (CEO Lim
Yoo-bong) recently announced at the Seoul International Dental Equipment
Exhibition (SIDEX 2022), held at COEX in Seoul, that it has launched a new
product called ACTILINK Motion using implant plasma surface treatment
technology.
The 'ACTILINK motion' introduced by Plasmapp
at SIDEX received great attention from industry officials. Plasmapp even signed
contracts with One Day Biotech (CEO Kim Jin-hwan) and Dental OK (CEO Kim
Kwang-jin). In addition, it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on
supply and sales of products with Biotem (CEO Lee Young-ho), a domestic implant
manufacturer that is growing mainly in the Southeast Asian market.
One-day Biotech is a domestic implant
manufacturer that is growing rapidly in the North American market. An official
from Plasmapp said, "We are increasing the competitiveness of implant
products by applying packaging technology for plasma surface treatment with One
Day Biotech," and explained, "We also carried out licensing out for
Plasma's patented technology."
Plasmapp is expanding its 'Plasma Surface
Treatment Solution' (ACTILINK) by establishing various types of cooperation.
The solution application market is also planning to expand not only to
dentistry but also to orthopedics, plastic surgery, and dermatology. According
to the company, the company recently secured a cumulative 140 billion won
contract, including the one signed by the SIDEX, and the order balance reached
130 billion won, the company said.
Meanwhile, at this year's SIDEX, Dr. Dirk U. Duddeck,
CEO of the German Clean Implant Foundation, gave a lecture on the importance of
managing impurities on implant surfaces. In addition, at the technical seminar,
Lim You-bong, CEO of Plasmapp, also gave a lecture under the theme of "Bio
Plasma Technology to Remove Impurities from Implant Surfaces."
After the lecture, Plasmapp and Clean Implant
agreed to come up with a plan to make plasma technology a new technology
standard in the global implant market. Accordingly, he decided to participate
in the European Association of Osseointegration in Switzerland in September to
introduce the importance of managing implant surface impurities and bio-plasma
technology for this.
A Plasmapp official said, "We were able
to confirm the positive market response to the new product through this SIDEX.
We plan to expand plasma solutions and expand the application market in
cooperation with the U.S. corporation, a plasma clinical research center."
Plasmapp is preparing to be listed on KOSDAQ
through special technology. The organizer of the listing is Mirae Asset
Securities.
